Rythu Swarajya Vedika has opposed the Andhra Pradesh Government move to introduce contract farming.
It alleged that it is an attempt to hand-over the land to corporates. By doing this, the Government is trying to further reduce its responsibilities.
The farmers will lose heavily in the absence of proper protection mechanism, the vedika representatives said here.
Vedika is an umbrella association of NGOs and intellectuals working in agricultural issues.
