The CBI today arrested prominent businessman Ramesh Gandhi for his alleged involvement in Saradha chit fund scam.
Gandhi is said to have played the role of a middleman helping ink a deal between Saradha Group and a TV channel.
Gandhi is currently the managing director of Rainbow Production Ltd, Kolkata.
"In the chit fund scam in WB, CBI has today arrested Ramesh Gandhi , MD of Rainbow Production Ltd, Kolkata for his involvement in the Saradha Scam Case. He was allegedly associated with Saradha Group boss Sudipta Sen. Huge funds were allegedly transferred in his own and company account," a CBI spokesperson said.
