SBI Life Insurance plans to increase ‘high performers’ in business from the Hyderabad region by hiring about 4,000 advisors this year.
“SBI Life Insurance’s Hyderabad region has produced 600 high performers, who did business of more than ₹25 lakh a year.
“This year our aim is to double this number,” its MD and CEO Arijit Basu said, after opening a new branch in Himayatnagar here recently.
The Hyderabad region comprises of both the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States, and contributes the highest volumes of business in terms of new business and renewal, out of the 14 regions in the country.
SBI Life is targeting new business premium of ₹700 crore, as well as gross premium of ₹2,100 crore. “This year we are planning to open up a few more offices in the region,” Basu said.
