The Delhi government will take hard and unpopular decisions to ensure clean air in the city, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said here on Thursday. Addressing a business meet organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry’s Delhi State Council, Sisodia admitted that ensuring clean air was a key challenge, but did not give out details of the ‘hard’ decisions under consideration.

Sisodia said the Aam Aadmi Party government aimed to achieve 20 per cent growth in Delhi with the use of technology and innovations and also announced plans to establish a university in Delhi exclusively for innovation and skill development.

Seeking ‘out of the box ideas’ from the industry to make Delhi a knowledge hub, he said, “Youth aged between 18-25 years are full of energy and are looking for innovations and skills.”

CII and the Government should partner in making job creators rather than creating jobs, he added.
