Announces additional increment to electricity sector employees

Describing 24x7 power supply to the agriculture sector as a New Year gift to the farmers, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has announced an additional increment to electricity sector employees who made this possible.

In recognition to the services rendered by the electricity employees, he announced that a special increment would be given from January 1, 2018. Interacting with TS Genco and Transco CMD D Prabhakar Rao and other senior officials on Monday, after the launch of 24-hour power supply to the farm sector, he said farmers are happy with the 24-hour power supply and the electricity.

“With supplying 24-hour uninterrupted and free power to farm sector, Telangana will go down in the history as the first State in the country to supply 24-hour power to all sectors. As against the initial plan of 24-hour power supply from February or March, we are happy to have started supplying power for the rabi crops from January 1, 2018,” he said.
