Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Friday called on Governor Kamla Beniwal here to apprise her of the State Government’s efforts about the rescue and relief operations undertaken in Uttarakhand to assist the pilgrims and tourists stranded in the Himalayan State.
Modi met the Governor in the afternoon, according to a press release here. The State Government has extended a financial assistance of Rs 2 crore to Uttarakhand in this regard.
