Kerala Tourism has bagged the prestigious CNBC Awaaz Travel Award for this year. It was conferred the award in the ‘best travel and tourism State’ category, an official spokesman said here.
Suman Billa, Secretary, Tourism, received the award at the ceremony held at the Hotel Centaur in Srinagar last week.
Kerala Tourism was adjudged the best for ‘constantly striving to push the boundaries of excellence.’ It had won the ‘most preferred destination’ prize in 2010 besides bagging the ‘best tourism board’ honour.
