Sony India to invest Rs 6 cr on brand promotion in Gujarat

Expecting a business of Rs 240 crore in the festival season in Gujarat until November, Sony India on Monday said it would invest Rs 6 crore on various promotional activities in the State to woo customers.

Targeting a 54 per cent growth over the August-November period last year, from Rs 156 crore to Rs 240 crore, the electronic goods major said it would have promotional offers on Bravia TVs, Cyber-shot digital still cameras and Vaio laptops.

The company would also increase the number of its outlets from 500 to 600.

Sony India plans to sell 33,700 Bravia units, 31,000 Cyber-shot cameras and 15,500 laptop units during the period, said Sunil Nayyar, Senior General Manager-Sales.

The company has also tied-up with Bajaj Finserve to provide financing options to customers.
