Suven Life Sciences Ltd has secured four product patents for its New Chemical Entities.
While two patents were granted from China, the other two were obtained in Mexico and New York, the Hyderabad-based company said in a release.
The granted claims of the patents included the class of selective 5-HT compounds discovered by Suven and are being developed as therapeutic agents.
They are useful in the treatment of cognitive impairment associated with neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, attention deficient hyperactivity disorder and Huntington’s disease, the company said.
