Suven Life Sciences Ltd has obtained one product patent each from Japan and the US for its new chemical entities (NCEs).
The granted claims of the patents include the class of selective 5-HT compounds discovered by Suven and were being developed as therapeutic agents, the Hyderabad-based company said in a release.
The NCEs were useful in the treatment of cognitive impairment associated with neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s disease, Attention Deficient Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Huntington’s disease, Parkinson and Schizophrenia, it added.
