Aegis Ltd has been ranked as one of the top 10 business process outsourcing providers by Gartner in its report. The Indian firm is the outsourcing arm of business conglomerate Essar Group.
The report, ‘2012 Competitive Landscape: The Rise of Indigenous BPO Providers in Asia-Pacific’, was published on November 30.
The top 10 BPO providers in Asia-Pacific (APAC) had a combined revenue of more than $2.8 billion in 2011, and the leading four including Aegis had revenues of more than $400 million each.
Gartner estimates Aegis’ APAC BPO market share to be at 7.1 per cent for 2011.
“The company has been able to leverage its people, processes, technology capabilities, and customer experience-led solutions to enhance its positioning in the BPO value-chain across Asia-Pacific region,” Aegis Global Chief Executive Officer Sandip Sen said.
The report identifies key market leaders for a diverse range of horizontal, multi-domain BPO services in the Asia-Pacific region.
