Reliance Industries Ltd on Friday announced that former Chairman of McKinsey India Adil Zainulbhai has joined as an independent director on the board with immediate effect.
With this appointment, the board size has increased to 14 with eight members being independent directors.
Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) Mukesh Ambani, in a media statement said that Zainulbhai is one of the finest consulting minds in the world and that he is looking forward to his contributions in strengthening Reliance and preparing the organisation for a sustained high growth.
Zainulbhai has a career spanning 34 years and has been consulting with global and Indian companies.
An engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology, Zainulbhai also holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
