Biocon has posted a net profit of ₹103 crore for the first quarter of 2015 fiscal, a 9 per cent growth compared with the ₹94-crore it posted in the same period last year. However, income from total sales grew 3 per cent or ₹719 crore in the June ended quarter compared with ₹694 crore posted in the same period last year. Reacting to the muted revenue growth, the stock markets gave their thumbs down and it closed at ₹480, down 7 per cent.
