The price of BharatBenz trucks will be competitive with other manufacturers and customers sharing their ownership experiences would be brand ambassadors, Mr Marc Llistosella, CEO and MD of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DIVC) said.

The focus is on ensuring a new experience of owning trucks, right from the quality dealerships and offering BharatBenz Financial Services directly and through tie-ups with ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and Sundaram Finance, followed by quality service. Further, BharatBenz Insurance offers cashless facility including zero depreciation and full maintenance contracts.

Every BB truck would help acquire customers when he shares his ownership experience. The company service is likely to be a key differentiator, he said.

Mr Aydogan Cakmaz, Vice-President, Product Engineering, said these trucks have been developed on the Fuso Canter and Mercedes Benz Axor platforms. Literally every part was taken off, re-developed and re-designed for Indian conditions such as overloading, rugged terrain and poor roads. A lot of work was done to ensure these are corrosion free. Engineering has been the key for development, he said.
