Foodpanda.in eyes break even by FY-16

Online food ordering platform >foodpanda.in is planning to break even by FY-16 with a presence in over 45 cities of the country.

According to Rohit Chadda, MD and Co-founder, foodpanda.in, the target is to reach cities having a populating of over 5 lakh over the next two years.

"Ideally, we want to break even and make operational profits over the next two years," he said.

Currently,

>foodpanda.in which operates in a market place model, has a presence in 30 cities in India.

Under the model foodpanda.in has tie-ups with restaurants of a particular city. Users place orders through the site and deliveries are made by the restaurants with which it has tie-ups.

Globally, foodpanda.in competes with JustEat and has a presence in 45 countries.
