Greaves Cotton cracks down on spurious spares

Greaves Cotton has said that a recent raid on auto spare shops at Kashmire Gate in Delhi led to seizure of spurious spare parts bearing the company’s name worth over ₹1 crore.

The company, a leading diesel automobile engine manufacturer, has embarked on nationwide raids with the assistance of the police.

Greaves Cotton said the market for spurious auto engines parts is worth about ₹400 crore.

The enforcement team, comprising police and Greaves Cotton’s legal officers, are working together to identify manufacturing units and outlets that sell spurious spares in major cities.
