MRF posts ₹230-cr profit in Q3

Tyre manufacturer MRF Ltd has reported a drop in net profit during the third quarter ending June 2014 compared with the corresponding quarter previously. It has reported a net profit of ₹230.22 crore (₹227.28 crore) for the quarter ended June 30, 2014, on a total income of ₹3,336.98 crore (₹3,051.46 crore). The company has announced a dividend of ₹3 a share. On the BSE, the company’s shares gained 6 per cent to close at ₹24,364.85 against the previous close of ₹22,979.80.
