RInfra begins 6-laning NH7 stretch

Reliance Infrastructure has begun six laning operations of a four-lane, 60 km stretch between Hosur and Krishnagiri along National Highway (NH) 7. The project, estimated to cost Rs 925 crore, is on build-operate-transfer basis with a concession period of 26 years. It is scheduled for completion in 30 months.

RInfra said the traffic volume count (TVC) at proposed toll plaza location suggests an average daily traffic of around 52,000 PCU's. On completion, the six lane corridor will manage flow of about 72,000 vehicles. Revenues expected are in the range of Rs 35-40 lakh a day. The company's shares were down marginally at Rs 557.60 on the BSE.
