Renault India Pvt Ltd has set up a new warehouse at Talegaon near Pune. The warehouse is part of the International Parts Centre (IPC) network, which enables Renault source and consolidate vehicle parts from local suppliers for use by alliance overseas manufacturing plants globally.

“The IPC in Pune is an integral part of Renault India’s efforts towards providing customers across the globe with competitive parts,” said Marc Nassif, Managing Director, Renault India. This will help Renault leverage not just the presence of competitive suppliers in India, but also benefit from savings through volume consolidation, he added.

Established in 2007, the Pune facility is part of a network of 20 Alliance International Logistics Centres worldwide set up to ensure cost-competitive supply chain management. It has been an extremely successful platform for Renault India’s export of parts. Last year, it processed exports valued at over Rs 400 crore.

“The IPC has seen exponential growth in parts turnover since its establishment,” said Jean-Paul Charraut, in-charge of Renault India SCM Operation.
