SBT hikes domestic rates

State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has hiked the interest rates for domestic/NRO/NRE term deposits from 8.50 per cent to 8.75 per cent for the period of five-years-and- above up to 10 years with effect from July 1. Resident senior citizens will get an additional 0.50 per cent on deposits of ₹5,000 and above, an SBT spokesman said here. The Anupama deposits scheme (domestic, NRO, NRI) for 1,111 days will continue to attract an interest rate of 9.25 per cent (9.55 per cent or senior citizens).
