SBT opens housing finance branch

State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has opened what it calls an unique and exclusive housing finance Branch in Ernakulam.

No other public sector bank in India operates such a branch anywhere in the country, a bank spokesman said.

It will be a one-stop shop for loan requirements for all housing, interior modification/beautification plans and other top-up loans for housing.

The branch will not do any business other than housing loans and housing business, the spokesman said.

What it means is undivided and exclusive attention to all aspirants wanting their own dream home.

With the housing boom in Kochi, the branch is expected to register good business, he hoped.

This branch will have tie ups with reputed builders/architects and interior decorators.

SBT was also the first to open exclusive Gold Point branches for gold loans.
