Mr Sarthak Behuria, former IOC Chairman, has been appointed Group President of the K.K. Modi group, which has restructured the management into a Corporate Centre and a Family Council.
As head of the recently set up Corporate Centre, Mr Behuria, who stepped down as IOC Chairman in February 2010, will drive the group's portfolio strategy and accelerate international expansion through organic and inorganic means.
A press release issued by the group said Ms Bina Modi will chair the Family Council, which would involve all promoters – Mr K.K. Modi, Chairman, and Ms Charu Modi Bhartia, Mr Lalit Modi and Mr Samir Modi. The Family Council will focus on family member/promoter interests and provide an interface with the group's professional management.
The K.K. Modi group includes companies such as Godfrey Phillips India Ltd, Modi Entertainment Network, Indofil Chemicals and Modicare Ltd.
