Aernnova Aerospace and Mahindra Aerostructures announced a multi-year contract worth approximately $300 million on Tuesday, marking a significant expansion of their 12-year partnership.
Under the agreement, Mahindra Aerostructures will manufacture metal sub-assemblies and components for Airbus and Embraer aircraft, including the Embraer C390 Millennium military transport aircraft. The Indian manufacturer will supply components to Aernnova facilities across Spain, the UK, Portugal, and Brazil.
The contract builds on an existing relationship that began in 2013 and strengthened after Aernnova acquired Hamble Aerostructures from GE in 2020. Hamble had been a customer of Mahindra’s Indian operations.
“This partnership with Mahindra will enable Aernnova to reinforce its supply base to secure production ramp-ups in our factories,” said Ricardo Chocarro, Aernnova’s CEO.
Mahindra Group CEO Anish Shah described the deal as part of the company’s scaling operations and significant investments in aerospace manufacturing.
The agreement supports production rate increases as the aerospace industry recovers. Mahindra Aerostructures operates a large manufacturing facility near Bangalore with AS9100D and six NADCAP certifications.
Both companies indicated plans to expand the relationship further in coming years.
