Amazon launches Delivery Station in Hyderabad

E-commerce player Amazon.in has launched a Delivery Station, its biggest in Telangana, at Gachibowli in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

This will improve its last mile delivery capabilities to speed up deliveries for customers.

With this expansion, Amazon.in now has close to 90 of its own delivery stations and Delivery Service Partner stations.

"We have a direct delivery presence in more than 500 pin codes of the State," Prakash Rochlani, Director, Last Mile Transportation of Amazon India, said.

Amazon has three fulfilment centres in Hyderabad with more than 3.2 million of storage space.

It has two sorting centres in Hyderabad with one lakh square feet of processing capacity.

It has 17,000 sellers enrolled on its platform.
