Diversified tiles manufacturer Asian Granito India Ltd is setting up a chain of Asian Tiles World (exclusive) retail stores across the country.

The company, with a turnover of Rs 700 crore last fiscal and six manufacturing plants, has thus far established 20 stores.

It expects to have a network of about 50 stores across top cities in the country by next year, Kamlesh Patel, Chairman, Asian Granito India, said.

Through its chain of stores in Jaipur, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Udaipur, Kanpur and Nanded, the company offers a different experience for shoppers, he said.

Established in 2000, the company has grown rapidly backed by six manufacturing units manufacturing different types of tiles. All of them are located in Gujarat.

“We are exploring the possibility of setting up another manufacturing base possibly in South India. We are looking at Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh for locating the new plant,’’ he told Business Line .

The new plant may entail an outlay of about Rs 100 crore. A decision on the location and time-frame will be taken next year.

The ceramic tile industry has been growing at about 13-14 per cent and the company expects to close this year with a growth rate of about 30 per cent, he said.
