The German luxury carmaker, Audi, today introduced RS 5 Sports Coupe in Hyderabad priced at Rs 77.35 lakh ex-showroom. The high revving 4.2 FSI V8 with 450 hp unleashes powerful performance.
Mr Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India, in a statement said: “Audi RS 5 is equipped with a powerful V8 engine, a new permanent all-wheel drive system and a whole series of performance characteristics. The new RS 5 will further help us consolidate our position in the sports car segment.”
Mr Rajiv M. Sanghvi, Managing Director, Audi Hyderabad, told
“There is growing customisation of Audi luxury range where customers are willing to wait for a couple of months to have a car with features they would like to have. There is some customisation in every car. However, some are so keen to acquire one that they do not mind extra charge to airlift the car,” he said.
“Hyderabad has emerged as an important market for Audi. We have sold 176 vehicles last year and hope to clock sales of 300 this year here,” he said.
Up to June this year, Audi India has sold 2,802 cars, registering a growth of 100 per cent over 1,400 cars during the corresponding period last year.
