About 520 youth from the under-privileged sections of society will be provided skill training in the area of plastics and related technology. Facilitating this is a memorandum of agreement (MoA) inked between Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) and the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET).

BDL, India’s missile manufacturer headquartered in Hyderabad, will fund up to Rs 3.12 crore, as part of its CSR activity for the purpose. CIPET will organise short duration skill development programmes for unemployed youth from the SC/ ST/ OBC and economically weaker sections. The intent is to empower them to be job ready or self-employed. The MoA was signed by S Narayanan from BDL and V Kiran Kumar from CIPET.
