CESC will comission its 300 MW Phase I Haldia power plant in October.
CESC Chairman, Sanjiv Goenka, said this at a press meet here on Wedensday.
This was 2 months ahead of schedule, he said. The remaining 300 MW will come on stream in January.
CESC has reported a 15% PAT growth at Rs 151 crore (Rs 131 crore) in the first quarter.
