Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd has acquired six over-the-counter (OTC) brands in the cough-and-cold, pain, and dermatology categories from Ducere Pharma.
The acquired brands were Dona’s, Bufferin, Nupercainal ointment, Cruex Nail Gel, Comtrex and Myoflex.
Through these brands, the Hyderabad-based company has entered branded consumer health arena, according to Alok Sonig, Executive Vice-President and Head of Dr. Reddy’s in the US.
The company will build upon the sales and marketing efforts for these brands and continue to focus on their expansion into existing and new market channels, he said in a release issued here on Wednesday.
