Aimed at boosting exports, eBay India has partnered with Best Deal TV to sell a range of celebrity-endorsed products in other countries.

Under the partnership, eBay will enable exports of Bollywood-led merchandise that are currently being sold on Best Deal TV. The partnership will allow Best Deal TV to list their product on eBay’s select international websites with specific focus on buyers in the US, the UK and Australia.

“There is a 25-million strong Indian diaspora. We want to target such consumers with our products,” said Latif Nathani, VP & MD, eBay India.

He said eBay India’s CBT business today provides 20,000 entrepreneurs an opportunity to export to global audiences. Nathani said eBay plans to expand Best Deal TV products offering to over 17 countries in the next six months.

Best Deal TV via its store on eBay will list 2,000 SKUs across three main categories -- home, fashion and lifestyle. Raj Kundra, CEO, Best Deal TV India, said: “Since our launch, we have been getting a lot of interest from Indians residing internationally, wanting to buy our exclusive celebrity products. The collaboration with eBay India will help us service those and many other Bollywood-loving customers worldwide. This synergy will allow us to be the first home shopping channel in India to cater to customers worldwide.”

As per eBay India Census of 2014, the US, the UK and Australia are the top three countries that contribute to its cross-border business.
