The Anand-based Elecon Engineering Company Ltd, a leading materials handling equipment and transmission products manufacturer, has completed expansion of its gear division.
The process was carried out with an investment of Rs 60 crore. The new plant will produce internal components of the helical gear box.
The expansion, completed in two years, has doubled Elecon's gear box manufacturing capacity to 1,000 a month, Mr Prayasvin Patel, Chairman and Managing Director, Elecon Engineering, said in a release here.
“With this enhanced facility we aim to increase our turnover by 33 per cent within one year, he added.”
