Eveready records Rs 60 cr turnover from MP operations

Country’s largest marketer of dry cell batteries Eveready today said it has recorded a turnover of Rs 60 crore from its Madhya Pradesh operations in the just concluded financial year.

The company plans to improve its turnover of Rs 60 crore by 15-20 per cent in the current fiscal with newer rechargeable products with LED (Light emitting diode) and strong battery backup, Partha Biswas, Vice President – Sales of the company said here after the launch of the new range today.

However, the country-wide turnover of the company, having a 40 per cent market share stood at Rs 1,100 crore in the last financial year, he said.

Eveready is country’s largest marketer of dry cell batteries selling about 1.2 billion units annually, besides torches with sales of more than 20 million pieces per annum.
