Evok, a chain of speciality home interior solutions, plans to open 17 new mega-format stores across India by the end of 2014-15.

Launched in 2008, Evok, a brand of Hindware Home Retail Pvt Ltd (HHRPL), a 100% subsidiary of HSIL Ltd, is also targeting to increase its turnover from nearly Rs 130 crore now to Rs 200 crore by 2014-15, Ajay Seth, COO and Business Head, told reporters here after the launch of the company’s first mega-format store, and the company’s 18th, on Thursday.

In the next financial year, Evok will open stores in Surat and Vadodara as well.

While the mega-format outlets are established in around 10,000 sq ft of space, the company also plans to open smaller stores comprising 1,000-1,500 sq ft on franchisee model in tier-two towns and cities, he said.

Seth said Evok has also embarked upon plans for corporate tie-ups for home interior solutions. While it supplies its own brands of modular kitchen and furniture, it procures other branded and quality products from abroad for other items of home interior solutions.
