S.P. Tyagi, retired Air Chief Marshal, has retired from the board of Zuari Global Ltd from February 16. He was in the board since July 21, 2009.

S. P. Tyagi has been under pressure ever since Giuseppe Orsi, former Finmeccanica CEO, was arrested last week by the Italian investigators in connection with a bribery scandal in the Rs 4,000-crore deal for the purchase of 12 VVIP choppers.

S. P. Tyagi has denied allegations that he influenced a 4,000-crore deal for VVIP helicopters in favour of Italy's AgustaWestland. The CBI is now investigating the agreement.

The stock fell 0.25 per cent at Rs 81.25 around 12.30 p.m. on Tuesday.
