Exide Industries reported an over 25 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 97.23 crore for the period ending December 31, 2014, up from the Rs 77.52 crore it reported in the corresponding quarter last year.
Net sales during the period stood at Rs 1,557.90, up by 19.70 per cent. Net sales in the year-ago period stood at Rs 1,301.41 crore.
Earnings (in the third quarter of this fiscal) per share increased to Rs 1.14 as against Rs 0.91 it reported in the same period last fiscal.
