Ford plans to add 1,200 employees in Chennai, Coimbatore units

Hinrichs along with Michael Boneham, President and Managing Director of Ford India, met the Chief Minister and senior government officials this morning.

Ford plans to add nearly 1,200 employees in the next one year at its facilities in Maraimalai Nagar and Coimbatore. This was conveyed to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa by Joe Hinrichs, President, Ford, Asia-Pacific and Africa.

Hinrichs along with Michael Boneham, President and Managing Director of Ford India, met the Chief Minister and senior government officials this morning.

They have requested her to inaugurate Ford’s Sports Utility Vehicle facility, which is likely to be commissioned in February or March, says a State Government press release

Ford started its plant in Maraimalai Nagar in 1995 and today employs nearly 5,200 employees in the State, the release says.
