The Hybrid Renewable Energy Park being developed on 800 square kilometres at Khavda in Gujarat will power 1.85 crore homes by 2028, stated Gujarat government in an official release here.
On Saturday, Gujarat Chief Minister visited the project and met officials of various companies that are implementing the project. National Thermal Power Corporation Renewable Energy Ltd , Gujarat Industries Power Company, Gujarat Power Corporation Ltd, Sarjan Realities Pvt Ltd and Adani Green Energy Ltd are among the public and private entities engaged in the development of the park, the release added.
The park is expected to produce 37000 MW of renewable energy and power 1.85 crore homes by 2028, the government stated. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had conducted the ground-breaking ceremony of the project in December 2020.
