Tata AIA Life Insurance Company has announced the appointment of Harshad Patil as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO).
Based in Mumbai, Patil will report to M. Suresh, Managing Director and CEO of the private life insurer. Patil will be responsible for all investment activities and investment strategy.
Patil joined Tata AIA Life in 2006. He has played an important role behind the performance of the Company’s Unit Linked Income Funds and Hybrid Funds. He also developed the investment methodology of the High Water Mark funds in-house, making Tata AIA Life a pioneer in this fund category.
Prior to joining to Tata AIA Life, Patil worked with UTI Mutual Fund for over 7 years in various capacities linked to fund management and dealing.
Patil holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters Degree in Management Studies from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.
