Plans to penetrate multiple markets through franchises

As the lead franchisee for Apollo Hospitals, Kolkata-based Siddhant Jatia had a good knowledge of how the healthcare industry functioned and the practices it followed. Exposed to the industry at an early age, Siddhant realised there were several issues plaguing the it.

“I noticed a vacuum in the technology space, where no platform was aggregating the entire healthcare industry; one that would give users a one-stop solution for all their healthcare and medical needs,” says 24-year-old Siddhant.

One-stop shop

This led to the birth of an idea to “build a platform which would be a go-to-place for all medical requirements, ranging from hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic centres to doctors, ambulances and blood banks,” adds Siddhant Jatia, founder and Director of Qyura, an e-healthcare platform.

Siddhant says Qyura aims to bridge the gap between patients and medical-service providers, and makes healthcare a hassle-free proposition. Qyura offers multiple healthcare services, including information on blood banks and ambulances.

Launched this July, the mobile application is active in three cities — Mumbai, Kolkata and Begaluru. In just two months, it has over 2,000 medical-service providers, such as SRL, Manipal Hospitals, Apollo Spectra, on board.

Informed decisions

“Healthcare in India is still a severely unorganised sector. Some of the key problems we are trying to solve through our platform focusses on patients taking informed decisions when it comes to their heath,” says Siddhant. The company will soon launch a pharmacy module, whereby medicines will be delivered at the user’s doorstep.

Qyura is promoted by the Jatia Business House in Kolkata. Siddhant is a fourth-generation entrepreneur and is keen to launch Qyura in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Pune, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Indore, among other cities. In a bid to penetrate multiple markets, Qyura is set to enter a franchisee model.
