Honda Cars India (HCIL) on Thursday launched a new variant of the Amaze priced between ₹5.30 lakh and ₹8.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new Amaze comes with a bold new exterior styling and several new-age features, such as continuously variable transmission (CVT), one of the first petrol cars in its class to offer advanced CVT technology, the company said.

The petrol (1.2 L i-VTEC) variants of the updated Amaze are priced between ₹5.30 lakh and ₹8.20 lakh. The automatic (CVT) variants are priced at ₹7.20 lakh and ₹8.20 lakh. The diesel (1.5 L i-DTEC) variants of the car are priced between ₹6.42 lakh and ₹8.20 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).

The car comes with various features including Bluetooth-enabled audio system, automatic air conditioner and multi-information display. It also comes with dual SRS airbags from the base variant (as an option) and the bookings of the car will begin from May, HCIL said. From the forthcoming financial year (April 2017), every new Honda, including current models, introduced in the market will come equipped with dual SRS airbags as standard, the company added.

“Amaze has been a successful model since its launch three years ago and we have close to two lakh happy Amaze customers in India. The new Amaze has been designed keeping in view the customer feedback,” said Katsushi Inoue, President and Chief Executive Officer.
