HSIL Q4 net profit falls 39% to Rs 29.36 cr

HSIL has reported a 38.97 per cent decline in standalone net profit at Rs 29.36 cr (Rs 48.11 cr) for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2014.

However, net sales during the quarter under review increased to Rs 617.30 cr (Rs 494.69 cr).

For the financial year 2013-14, company’s consolidated net profit declined to Rs 33.98 cr (Rs 82.05 cr).

Consolidated net sales for the year increased to Rs 1,827.89 cr from Rs 1,736.68 cr in 2012-13.

“The year 2013-14 has been challenging but we continued to focus on improving margins through better product mix, costs rationalisation & improvement in plant efficiencies.

Important announcements and launches in Tier II and III cities provided us with great opportunities and strengthened our distribution channel,” HSIL Joint Managing Director Sandip Somany said.
