Hyundai drives in Xcent, price starts at Rs 4.66 lakh

The country's second largest car manufacturer Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) on Wednesday entered the sub four-metre sedan segment with the launch of Xcent model priced between Rs 4.66 lakh and Rs 7.38 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

While the petrol version is priced between Rs 4.66 lakh and Rs 6.47 lakh, the diesel variant is priced at Rs 5.56 lakh to Rs 7.38 lakh (all ex-showroom, New Delhi).

The latest car will be available in 1.1 litre advanced second generation U2 CRDi diesel and 1.2 litre Kappa dual VTVT petrol offering a combination of optimum performance and high fuel economy, the company said.

"Developed with the best of Hyundai Motor's world-class technologies, Xcent will create a new benchmark in terms of quality, design, space, features and driving pleasure in the compact sedan segment," BS Seo, Managing Director, HMIL, said here at the launch.

The latest car from the company will compete with likes of Amaze of Honda Cars India and Swift Dzire of Maruti Suzuki India.
