Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) today reported a 10.3 per cent increase in total sales at 61,792 units in October.

The company had sold 56,019 units in the same month last year, HMIL said in a statement.

In the domestic market, Hyundai sold 47,015 units last month as compared with 38,010 units in October 2014, up 23.7 per cent.

The company’s exports were, however, down 17.9 per cent to 14,777 units as against 18,009 units in the same month last year.

HMIL Senior Vice-President (Sales and Marketing) Rakesh Srivastava said: “Hyundai sales of 47,015 units are at an all-time high with all-time high sales of the Grand i10 with 14,079 units and the continued strong performance of modern premium brands Creta and Elite i20/Active.”

The company expects the growth momentum to continue in the coming months with improving customer sentiment, he added.
