IGL net up 19 per cent in Q3

Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) has reported a ₹ 197.99 crore net profit for the third quarter of 2018-2019. This is 19 per cent higher than the ₹ 165.92 crore net profit reported by the company in the corresponding quarter of 2017-2018.

“IGL registered an overall sales volume growth of 12 per cent over the corresponding quarter in the last fiscal, with the average daily sale going up from 5.26 million standard cubic meters per day (mmscmd) to 5.91 mmscmd. Product wise, CNG recorded sales volume growth of 13 per cent, while PNG recorded sales volume growth of 10 per cent in the quarter as compared to last year,” an IGL statement said.

Total income was reported at ₹ 1,705.13 crore during the period under review. This stood at ₹ 1,326.71 crore in the same period of the preceding financial year.

Shares of the company closed 2.26 per cent lower at ₹ 298.45 a scrip on the BSE during intraday trade on Wednesday.
