Immunologix to invest ₹50 crore in new animal vaccine unit in AP

The Andhra Pradesh government on Friday signed an MoU with Immunologix India Pvt Ltd (IGY) to set up a vaccine manufacturing unit.

The manufacturing unit will be established at the State Centre for Advanced Research on Livestock, Pulivendula.

The MoU was signed by APCARL CEO M Srinivas and IGV promoter Adinarrayana Reddy in Amaravati.

The vaccine unit will work under the PPP model and IGY will invest about ₹50 crore in the unit, which will manufacture vaccines for livestock, said a press release. The vaccines hit the market by 2021.

The unit will provide employment to about 100 persons, it added.
