Jay Shree Tea & Industries has reported a net profit of Rs 12.51 crore in the third quarter of the current fiscal against Rs 65 lakh in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
Profits jumped mainly because tea business' share more than doubled and sugar business too reported significantly higher profitability. Chemicals & fertlisers business of the B.K. Birla group outfit, however, made a net loss (Rs 74 lakh) against a net profit (Rs 2.06 crore) last year.
