Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), owned by Tata Motors, has shuffled its executive management committee to unify the marketing and sales leadership structure of its Jaguar and Land Rover brands.

The Executive Management Committee, chaired by Chief Executive Officer Ralf Speth, is responsible for strategic direction at JLR.

The luxury car manufacturer has named Phil Popham as its group marketing director.

Popham, who is currently Director (group sales operations), will be responsible for the global marketing activity of the Jaguar and Land Rover brands, the company said in a statement.

JLR also named Andy Goss, currently President, JLR North America, as Group Sales Operations Director with responsibility for global sales and customer service.

He will take over Popham’s current team and join the executive committee.

An announcement on who will succeed Goss as President of JLR North America will be made in due course, the statement added.

Other appointments

Adrian Hallmark, currently global brand director for Jaguar, has been appointed as group strategy director, while John Edwards, global brand director for Land Rover, will move to a new role in the senior management team.

All the changes will be effective October 1.

“It is the next phase in our development, mirroring the recent changes we made to product creation and delivery, and bringing together the strategy and processes supporting the brands,” said Speth.

Additionally, Wolfram Liedtke, currently Director (quality and automotive safety), will retire by the end of this calendar year.

JLR has named Grant McPherson, currently Operations Director, Castle Bromwich plant, as Liedtke’s successor.
