Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Group is exploring investment opportunities in Macedonia, according to a source. However, the person did not elaborate on the investment plans of the group.
“It’s all in very initial phases. The company is exploring the possibilities of investing in Macedonia,” the source privy to the development said.
Steel tycoon Sajjan Jindal had also met the Prime Minister of Macedonia Zoran Zaev in this regard earlier this month, the person added.
JSW Group is a multi-billion-dollar conglomerate with presence across India, US, South America and Africa. The group is a part of the O P Jindal Group with a strong footprint across core economic sectors namely steel, energy, infrastructure, cement, ventures and sports. JSW Steel owns a pipe and plate making steel mill in Baytown, Texas in the US.
