Kenstar forays into air-conditioner segment

Consumer products company Kenstar has forayed into the air-conditioner segment and has announced that its line-up of split air-conditioners will be exclusively sold through the e-commerce platform, Amazon India.

The brand’s product range includes microwave ovens, air coolers, water heaters, mixer grinders and food processors.

Rahul Sethi, President, Kenstar, said, “We aim to capture 5 per cent of the total market share by the close of fiscal 2015. We believe this is the right time to sell through the e-commerce channel as Indian consumers are increasingly adapting to newer channels.”

The company hopes to woo younger tech-savvy consumers through this partnership. Kenstar has launched four models in the split AC category that fall between 3 to 5 star rating category, priced in the range of ₹20,990-25,990.
