Laurus Labs to invest ₹5,000 crore in new manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh

The State government will allot land for the proposed plant in Rambilli village, Anakapalli district

Laurus Labs will invest ₹5,000 crore in Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh to set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, creating 7,500 direct and indirect jobs.

This decision was made during a meeting between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Laurus Labs CEO Chava Satyanarayana in Amaravati on Thursday, according to a release.

The State government will allot land for the proposed plant in Rambilli village, Anakapalli district. The Chief Minister assured the drug-maker of a conducive business environment and offered full support, including the speedy allotment of land, the release added.
